**323 Chinese Nationals Expelled from Cambodia in Connection with Online Scams**

**Phnom Penh:** On February 27, 2026, Cambodian competent authorities deported a total of 323 Chinese nationals, including 5 females, from the Kingdom of Cambodia via a special flight at the Techo International Airport Police Border Gate. This deportation is related to online scam cases, which were suppressed in Phnom Penh and carried out under the high-level directive from the leadership of the Ministry of Interior.

According to official reports, the deportation procedures for these foreign nationals were implemented following the high-level recommendations of His Excellency Aphisantipundit Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. In this spirit, His Excellency Lieutenant General Sok Veasna, Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Interior, instructed the Department of Investigation and Procedure Enforcement to cooperate closely with the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia to continue implementing the procedures for deporting these foreign nationals from Cambodian territory.

The crackdown operation on these online scam cases was strictly implemented in Phnom Penh, as part of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s efforts to combat transnational crimes and cybercrime. The 323 Chinese nationals were found to be involved in these illegal activities, which affect social security and public order.
