Cambodia’s Air Quality Declared ‘Very Good’ Amidst Environmental Safeguards

The Ministry of Environment has officially declared the air quality across Cambodia as “very good” for the recent 24-hour period, signaling positive environmental conditions.
This announcement was made by the Ministry of Environment, covering the period from February 27th to February 28th, 2026. The average concentration of particulate matter (PM) was recorded at a low 16.29 µg/m3, significantly below the national standard of 50 µg/m3. To maintain this favorable air quality, the Ministry urged the public to prevent open burning of waste, agricultural residues, and forest fires. Furthermore, it emphasized controlling dust from construction sites and deterring illegal deforestation and unauthorized settlements in forest areas.
Continued active participation in environmental campaigns, such as “Today, I Don’t Use Plastic Bags,” is crucial for fostering a cleaner environment and ensuring sustainable air quality.
