(Phnom Penh): On April 1, 2026, H.E. Lieutenant General Rat Dararoth, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense, received a courtesy call from Ms. Dorsa NAZEMI SALMA, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Cambodia, to discuss ongoing cooperation and regional stability.
The meeting focused on the latest developments along the Cambodia-Thailand border and the outcomes of the ICRC delegation’s recent field visit to the area. During the discussion, H.E. Lieutenant General Rat Dararoth expressed his profound gratitude to the ICRC for its pivotal role in border humanitarian affairs. He specifically highlighted the organization’s efforts in facilitating the safe repatriation of 18 Cambodian soldiers back to their homeland, underscoring the strong partnership between the Ministry and the ICRC.
